The River premiered! I’ve been hearing about it since last summer, so it’s about goddamned time. I always have really high hopes for genre shows, because they’re so hard to get right, especially on network TV. I have to say, I was a little iffy on it during the first half, but then they got me with that fucking creepy doll tree in the second.  I can tell that a few of the characters are going to get on my nerves, but otherwise I’m in. DVR season pass is set.  To be fair, this did have a pretty good shot at maintaining my viewership because of my lover Joe Anderson. So pretty. But when will someone let him be British?!  View high resolution

For some reason the official Twitter account for The River started following me yesterday. I think it’s because I mentioned the show once way back in September wondering when the premiere was going to be? Anyway, the show does look awesome, and I’m very excited that I will get to see megacrush Joe Anderson on a regular basis! I thought this guy was going to blow up after Across the Universe, but alas. He’s appearing in Twilight now, so maybe that’ll help? I listen to his cover of “Happiness Is A Warm Gun” a lot. It’s killer. He can put his finger on my trigger anytime. View high resolution
